Judith Fox Visits Cognita Schools in Vietnam

International School Ho Chi Minh City (ISHCMC), International School Saigon Pearl (ISSP) and International School Ho Chi Minh City – American Academy students joined for a morning talk with Judith Fox hosted at the ISHCMC campus.

Judith Fox, the sister of Terry Fox was in the city for the annual Terry Fox Run. As one of the first schools group to support the Terry Fox run in Ho Chi Minh City, Judith Fox visited the Cognita Schools to meet students who have participated in the race and supported with fundraising for the Terry Fox Foundation.

The theme of Judith’s speech was “The Power of One”. Judith described how determined Terry was to complete the Marathon of Hope by crossing the second largest country in the world  (Canada) to raise awareness and funds for cancer research. One of Terry Fox’s aims was to raise one Canadian dollar for each Canadian and this goal has long since been reached.
