Escape to romance at Premier Village Phu Quoc with #Myresort offers from Accor

For a holiday meant to celebrate love, Valentine’s Day conjures up a lot of mixed emotions. If you are looking for a perfect plan to go on a holiday with your loved one, it’s worth thinking of visiting Phu Quoc, a pearl-island of Vietnam, surround by crystal-clear water, idyllic beaches, romantic sunsets, evergreen forests, and a serene atmosphere. This V-Day, let’s explore a travel diary of Luke and Jess during their stay at Premier Village Phu Quoc Resort and discover what this beautiful island has got to offer within #Myresort package.

With two pristine beaches and stunning ocean views from dawn until dusk, Premier Village Phu Quoc Resort is truly a hidden tropical retreat that is exceptionally unlike anywhere else on the island.

Day 1

We arrived into Phu Quoc airport in the evening, where we were greeted by our MyHost Marina and private driver. During the journey Marina shared tips and info about the island and the resort before arriving, she explained that she was our go-to contact and would assist with anything we needed during our stay.

After the short drive, we were greeted by the lovely staff in the resort and offered refreshing welcome drinks while we waited to check into our room. We had a buggy pick us up and take us to our villa where Marina then gave us a tour, we had just stepped into our dream home. There was a large open plan living space, 3 bedrooms and our own infinity pool.

We had an exciting day ahead, so we relaxed on the couch for the remainder of the evening with some welcome treats.

Day 2

We woke up to the sunrise peeking through our blinds and we were greeted with the most incredible view of the ocean from the balcony. We had just woken up in paradise!

We were booked in for a private yoga session by the pool at 6:30am as part of our MyWellness benefits. Our private buggy picked us up 5 minutes prior to beginning and we arrived to the pool where the yoga took place and we were blown away; the yoga was actually in the pool on separate platforms surrounded by palm trees and the calming sounds of water fountains. Our yoga instructor greeted us and we began our session.

After the relaxing start to our day, we walked to breakfast at The Market restaurant where we sat outside looking over the gardens and ocean. There was a buffet style breakfast that really covered all bases, we couldn’t go past the omelette and fresh fruit to fuel us for the day ahead.

We spent the remainder of the day down by the water kayaking and paddle boarding on the western beach of the resort, before heading to the pool for a swim and sunbathing.

After spending time in the water, we headed to the pool bar for lunch and with MyGlass we had free flowing drinks from 12pm-5pm. We sat in the infinity pool and looked out over the ocean with cocktails in hand.

After a few cocktails, we headed back to our villa to get ready for our MyTreat private dinner at Corallo.

We arrived just before sunset to find a private candlelit table and picnic rug set up on the beach amongst the palm trees. The lovely staff greeted us and the bar staff created us personalised cocktails based on our favourite spirits.

We sat on the beach with our delicious vodka and whiskey cocktails and watched the sun slowly go down behind the ocean before being seated for dinner, where we began a delicious 7 course meal paired with a bottle of wine. We were so full after dinner that we decided to take the desserts back to our villa to enjoy them.

Day 3

After a day of being wined and dined we had a slow start to our third day with a morning swim in our private infinity pool followed by a bike ride through the resort before heading to breakfast at The Market again.

After exploring the resort, we headed back to the villa to be picked up and taken to Plumeria spa where we had booked in for a MyWellness treatment. We arrived and were greeted by the spa staff before being offered a light snack and refreshing drink. We discussed what treatments we would like and decided to do a full body scrub and signature therapy massage.

We were led to one of the private couple spa rooms which had incredible views over the ocean and its own private spa pool. We began with the scrub and followed with the signature therapy massage which left us feeling totally relaxed. The masseurs then left us to enjoy the private spa with delicious tea-tox drink.

After feeling completely relaxed and rejuvenated, we headed to lunch at Corallo where we enjoyed a tapas style lunch of various cuisines.

We then spent more time exploring the incredible infinity pool that runs from one side of the resort’s island to the other. Sitting under the palm trees in our own little space, it was the perfect way to spend the afternoon.

After a much slower, relaxing day, we headed to dinner early where we ate at The Market again, this time trying more of the local cuisine on the menu. We loved the freshness and colours in the food and decided to order a few dishes we could share between the two of us. Our waitress for the evening explained to us where particular dishes were from and how they vary in different parts of Vietnam.

Day 4

We woke up early to watch the sunrise on our final morning on the island, before packing our bags and getting ready to check out. We decided to make the most of the next few hours by heading to the western beach again for a swim and sunbathe. After the last few days of bliss, it was nice to sit and take in the island life. Once our baggage was picked up, we had our private buggy pick us up and take us back to reception to say our goodbyes to our MyHost Marina and the other staff that made our time at the resort so pleasant.

We absolutely loved our first time in Vietnam and having the experiences of the MyResorts benefits at Phu Quoc Premier Resort definitely made this trip one to remember!
