Become a Potter

There’s nothing quite like drinking coffee out of a cup you made from scratch Down a small hamlet teeming with vegetation cascading off balconies is the Hey Camel Ceramics studio. The only indication that this address is different from the other residential homes is a small sign in the front window. But once inside the distinction is clear, with the first floor filled not with … Read more

Learning to Leather

The art of leatherworking We make an eclectic bunch, sitting in a sunny D2 café on a Saturday afternoon: a motherly insurance worker, a young French architect, a vivacious quality assurance inspector and a writer. Together, we’re the Etsy version of the Breakfast Club. What’s brought us here is a love of the handmade, turning raw materials into something useful, something more than the … Read more

Paint a Scarf

Change fabric into a beautiful piece of art When it comes to visual arts, I’m not particularly gifted. Having dyed clothing in the past, my abilities usually led to a greenish brown swamp color. That’s why I was a bit apprehensive when I arrived at Liisimari’s silk scarf painting workshop at The Hive in Thao Dien. Evening Bandpass, Vinyasa & Ashtanga workshops

Please feel most invited to join these workshops and welcome him “home” again!

Dylan returns to Ho Chi Minh after having called this magical place his home in 2002, 2005 & 2006. Since leaving Saigon, he has taught on four continents and established busy Mysore programs in Hong Kong and Bali. This visit will mark his first yoga teaching in Vietnam in over a decade! He feels a deep gratitude and connection with Vietnam.

Dylan will deconstruct the Ashtanga system and explain his perspective on a safe, healthy and illuminating practice. All participants are welcome and should consider coming each night to gain maximum benefits. The group will practice parts of the primary series and also focus around a different aspect of asana each evening:
Monday – Fundamentals of Flow
Tuesday – Intelligent Backbending
Wednesday – Resolution: The End of Primary
Thursday – Seamless: Jumping Through and Back. Some pranayama and short sitting practices will also be explored.

Mysore Sadhana Self-paced Morning Practice, 8 – 10 am, Open to any with some established Ashtanga practice.

Dylan holds a Master’s Degree in Buddhist Studies, has been authorised to teach Ashtanga by the Shri K Pattabhi Jois Ashtanga Yoga Institute and has the highest certification available from Yoga Alliance stashed away in a drawer somewhere.

Essentially, Dylan remains a pluralist, believing in many kinds of truth and many manners of realization. Though entertainment is not his focus in teaching, there is always room for laughter in his classroom. Ashtanga Vinyasa coupled with pranayama and other sitting practices continue to be the foundations of his understanding and teachings.
