On October 16, InterContinental Nha Trang welcomed the youngest Michelin-starred chef from Italy, Matteo Metulio, to serve an exclusive Michelin star dining experience in Nha Trang at the hotel’s international restaurant, The Cookbook Café.
Featuring such delicate signature dishes that awarded him a Michelin star, Nha Trang epicures were invited to join Chef Mateo for a culinary journey of taste, texture and surprising interpretation.
It was an extraordinary opportunity to indulge in Chef Matteo’s distinctive dishes, an exquisite menu which included Quail and Green Apple with Goat Cheese Foam, Salmon and Scampis with Ginger and Beetroot, Venison Tenderloin and Pistachio Cream, Risotto alla Parmigiana with Pork Kidney and Coffee; Lamb and Potato Puree, and Chef’s Special Tarte-tin.
Matteo Metullio is a rising star of Northern Italian cuisine and the youngest Michelin chef from Italy at the age of 25. Born in the city of Trieste, Mateo has had a flourishing career since aged 19. He built a strong four-year foundation as a member of world famous 2-star Michelin Chef Norbert Niederkofler’s brigade at St. Hubertus Restaurant. Then, Matteo moved to La Siriola Restaurant as Sous Chef of Fabio Cucchelli and succeeded the prestigious executive chef in 2013. It was a major challenge to this young chef in proving himself to Michelin star and running the success of the restaurant. Eventually, he won his star and became the youngest of Michelin leagues in Italy.
