The layout designer is responsible for the visual layout of our English-language magazine and other book projects, using photos, graphics and other forms of artwork to create the covers and inside pages of the publications.
Requirements and General Job Description:
- Fluent in reading and writing English a must
- Design ads and layout copy
- Coordinate and colorproof with the printing house during deadlines, which may require working weekends or late nights
- Contribute, collaborate and support editors, photographers and account managers
- Excellent abilities with graphic design software including Adobe InDesign and Photoshop
- Ability to combine creativity with technical work
- Able to schedule and prioritize tasks, displaying excellent attention to detail
- Decide on things such as typeface and fonts for publication covers and headlines
- May be involved with designing layout of company website
- Full-time hours but flexible
- Salary will be discussed via email
