Events In The Sky

“Dinner In The Sky” flights will soon be offering the most exclusive way to bring in the Year of the Monkey

This spectacular dining event will run early in the new lunar year and will include a selection of Cocktail & Canapé flights, and exquisite Dinner flights.

Guests will enjoy the absolute best view of the city, 60 metres up in the sky as well as the best cuisine.

The event will take place nearby the Saigon River in an amazing and central location overlooking the river and the city. Each flight will take 22 guests on the Events In The Sky table, which is lifted up into sky by a crane, providing the most unique dining experience Vietnam has ever seen.

”The appeal of Events In The Sky is pretty universal, it takes you somewhere you’ve never been before, 20 stories above the ground, without any physical barrier between you and the world. Unlike looking out of the window of a plane or enjoying the view from a high rise roof top, you are not cocooned or anchored in place, you are floating in mid-air. It’s quite liberating.

Add to that a fantastic meal with friends and you have a shared experience you will never forget.” Said Steve Chung, Business Director, Events In The Sky.

”We’re extremely excited about launching Events In The Sky here in Vietnam, the Vietnamese public have a kind of progressive passion and hunger for experience, learning and lifestyle that is very refreshing. ” Said Simon Laxton, CEO, Events In The Sky.

Events In The Sky now operates in 45 countries around the world and has hosted Royalty, Heads of State, Billionaire businessmen, Sports stars, Rock legends and Hollywood A listers.

From London, Paris, Brussels and Rome to Las Vegas, Rio De Janeiro, ShangHai and Tokyo, Events In The Sky has wowed and entertained guests with truly exhilarating experiences like no other.

Tested successfully in Vietnam last November via an exclusive party, Events in the Sky decided to extend the Dinner In The Sky experience to more people. So you too can now enjoy this most extraordinary and memorable dinning experience with friends and families, combining amazing views and fantastic food like never before.

On the dinner flights, guests will enjoy the finest food prepared by international award winning Chef Sakal, who is the President of the esteemed Disciples d’Escoffier Vietnam and the Executive Chef at Sofitel Saigon Plaza.

Chef Sakal talking about the menu:  “I wanted to create a special menu for Vietnam gormands, combining French and Vietnamese flavors with the best ingredients from both countries.  I use Vietnamese crab and French Atlantic oysters to combine to a tartar and finish the dish with coriander and avocado from Dalat.   The “Pho” is probably the most famous Vietnamese dish around the world. What many people may not know is that the name originally derives from “Pot au feu”, a traditional French beef stew. To put a French twist on this dish, I use foie gras instead of beef or chicken.   Lobster should always be present in a menu during festival season in my opinion. Venison I use because it is the hunting period now. The whole menu is well balanced and lets the guest experience many different kinds of flavors and textures”

Most importantly, in the nine years that Events In the Sky has operated, it has a 100% safety record across all countries. Events In The Sky only use a specific model of crane with a complete safety and maintenance record.

We also have the most thorough safety procedure before, during and after every flight, and every flight has a safety officer on the ground as well on the flight itself. Every guest is strapped into their seat so that there’s no way they can fall out. So you can relax and enjoy the whole experience without any worries.
