We’re thrilled to announce our first Oi Reader contest, a chance for you to win some fantastic prizes from our partners!
In light of our Weddings Issue for April, this month’s photo contest has the theme:
Love / Romance
PRIZES: This contest will have two winners, 1) a Fan Favorite and an 2) Oi Favorite.
(1) Fan Favorite Prize: Endless Pizza and Pasta Night for Two at Park Hyatt Saigon’s Italian restaurant, Opera.
The all you-can-eat pizza night features some of your favorite pizzas and toppings including: margherita, seafood, scallops, Parma and Saigon chicken. Pastas include: pumpkin ravioli, potato gnocchi, Spaghetti “vongole” with clams and Bucatini amatriciana. For dessert, feast on Vanilla panna cotta and market berries. This prize is worth VND 590,000 per person.
(2) Oi Favorite Prize: A VND 500,000 gift voucher to Blue Dragon (1B Bui Vien, D1)
This unique gift shop specializes in recycled collectible products (think: paper ornaments made of discarded magazines and satchels patched together from animal feed sacks!), beautiful gifts with a conscience! Perhaps you’ll use your voucher to take home one of their tire tube gadget bags, an ideal tribute to the bike culture of Vietnam!
HOW TO ENTER:
1. Send us your photo. There are lots of ways to do this.
• Upload your photo to your favorite social media channel (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) and send us the link. (Make sure your post is public so that we can access it!)
• Upload your photo directly onto our Facebook page or send it to us in a Facebook message.
• Email your photo to us.
2. This is the important step: Email your entry to us with the following information to: contests@oivietnam.com
• your full name
• telephone number
• a link to your photo
• brief 1-2 sentences about your photo (where was it taken? who’s in the photo? what makes it special?)
That’s it! On the 15th, we’ll upload all the entries to our Facebook album and send you a link to the album. (If you submit after the 15th, we’ll upload your photo within 24 hours.) Then, tell your friends to vote for your photo! (We’ll also help by promoting entries on our timeline.)
The contest closes at noon on the 25th, and winners will be announced in the following month’s print edition of Oi Vietnam (winning photos may even be published!)
So show us your best Love / Romance photos!
Be artsy.
Be traditional.
Be cheesy or funny!
Now on to the fine print:
• To enter: You must first become a Facebook Friend of Oi Vietnam. You may enter only once as an Oi Vietnam Facebook Friend. Entries must be received by the 20th of each month to be eligible.
• Judging: The Fan Favorite winner will be determined by the number of likes it receives in Oi Vietnam’s Facebook album. The Oi Favorite will be determined by Oi editorial staff. The decision of the judges will be final. Winners will be notified via email or telephone and must be able to retrieve prize(s) from Oi offices within 30 days of notification and show your ID. Prizes left unclaimed after 30 days will be forfeit.
• Eligibility: The contest is open to those 18 years of age or older as of date of entry. Oi staff are exempted from participation. Photos must be taken by the entrant or must legally belong to the entrant.
• Release: By participating in this competition, each entrant grants Oi Vietnam the right to use his/her individual name and submitted photograph in any medium, for contest publicity & promotion purposes, without further compensation, except where prohibited by law. (By this, we mean winners / honorable mentions may be published in the magazine or photos posted to the contest page on Facebook… nothing else, we promise!)
• Who won: Winners will be announced in the next month’s edition of Oi Vietnam. Print copies are available at these locations. The online version is downloadable here.
