New Dim Sum Place
The two-story San Fu Lou (www.sanfulou.com) restaurant serves noodles with beef brisket, pork or wanton prawn dumplings along with an assortment of dim sum available daily. Viet Khanh Phu enters the luxury accessories fashion scene with its debut collection called Aquamarine. Designs include bags, shoes, wallets and belts made out of skins from farm-grown crocodiles, ostriches and pythons. Japanese Cooking Classes
Saigon Cooking Class, in partnership with Blanchy Street restaurant, has launched a new cooking class for those interested in learning how to cook Japanese food. Chefs Martin Brito and Yogo Oba will be your guide through a delicious journey to present the essentials of Japanese cuisine over two lessons. Born in Sydney, Martin trained under Peter Doyle (widely recognized as the founding father of modern Australian cuisine). Yogo was invited by Matsuhisa to open Nobu London, Nobu Milan, Nobu Paris and Nobu Berkeley St where his outstanding skills flourished for eight years.
