Who among us hasn’t occasionally craved the “Food of the Gods” as cacao’s (the chocolate bean) scientific name translates to?
If you’ve ever wondered how chocolate is made, from bean to bar, Park Hyatt Saigon’s master class introduces a chocolate tour on September 21, 2013 from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
Stops include an excursion to the Grand Place Cacao Farm in the Mekong Delta, visiting several farms showcasing the cacao in various stages of development.
The chocolate journey from humble bean to salacious chocolate finishes with a personalized class with Pastry Chef Bertrand Sommereux where he provides a hands-on demonstration of how to create delectable desserts made out of chocolate. This master class demonstrates conception to completion, nirvana for sweet-toothed ‘chocolateers’.
Admission is VND 2,500,000 per person, plus 5% service charge and 10% government tax.
