We heard you, so our Oi Reader Contest is now over two months and now with MORE great prizes! That’s a month to get your submissions in and three weeks for voting.
In light of our international breakfasts issue for June, the theme for our June / July contest is:
Food, Glorious, Food!
We all love taking photos of food!
Or simply something delicious like a papaya salad from a street cart that’s been operating for decades and where everyone finds a piece of linoleum to sit on and enjoy?
PRIZES: This contest will have four winners, 1) Fan Favorite, 2) Oi Favorite, 3) Best Story and 4) Most Engaging.
(1) Fan Favorite (most FB “likes”) Prize: A one night stay (with breakfast for two) at the fabulous Hotel Muse in Bangkok, an M Gallery Accor hotel.

(2) Oi Favorite Prize: 2 Ooh! level tickets to see the amazing A O Show at the Saigon Opera House, a giddy combination of acrobatics, contemporary cirque, dance, martial arts and music.
Each of the performers has a background in dance, stuntwork, Parkour or circus. It’s Stomp! meets Cirque du Soleil meets Hip Hop dance battle meets Ringling Brothers all set to the live soundtrack of Vietnamese opera, heart-stopping drum beats and haunting solos. There’s no real storyline to the non-stop hour-long show other than the bamboo props that are part of every act ― trays doubling as lily pads or Matrix-style projectiles, coracles as launch pads or a giant pendulum from which performers hurl themselves, and huge bamboo poles that morph from delicate monkey bridges to the walls of a vibrant tenement.

This BBQ feast, delivered to your door, includes: 2 hickory smoked pork ribs, 4 pieces of apple wood smoked (2 with TnT‘s signature BBQ sauce and 2 with Dynamite sauce), 1 hickory smoked pulled pork sandwich, 1 smoked beef brisket sandwich, 1 apple wood smoked turkey sandwich and 1 side sampler (coleslaw, potato salad, baked beans, garlic mash, cornbread, veggie skewers, corn on the cob and french fries) and a liter bottle of fruit punch Kool-Aid in a reusable bottle!

1. Send us your photo. There are lots of ways to do this.
• Upload your photo to your favorite social media channel (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) and send us the link. (Make sure your post is public so that we can access it!)
• Upload your photo directly onto our Facebook page or send it to us in a Facebook message.
• Email your photo to us.
2. This is the important step: Email your entry to us with the following information to: contests@oivietnam.com
• your full name
• telephone number
• a link to your photo
• If the photo in your link isn’t at least 800 x 600px (better yet: 1024 x 768px), then please attach a higher resolution image to the email
• brief 1-2 sentences about your photo (tell us the story behind the food, the recipe or why you chose this photo)
That’s it! On the July 1, we’ll upload all the entries to our Facebook album and send you a link to the album. (If you submit after June 30, we’ll upload your photo within 24 hours.) Then, tell your friends to vote for your photo! (We’ll also help by promoting entries on our timeline.)
The contest closes at 8am on July 22nd, and winners will be announced in the following month’s print edition of Oi Vietnam (winning photos and runners up may even be published!)

• To enter: You must first become a Facebook Friend of Oi Vietnam. You may enter only once as an Oi Vietnam Facebook Friend.
• Judging: The Fan Favorite winner will be determined by the number of likes it receives in Oi Vietnam’s official Facebook voting album by the close of the contest. The Most Engaging winner is determined by the total number of unique comments and shares posted in Oi Vietnam’s official Facebook voting album by the close of the contest. In the case of a tie, a lucky draw will be held. Fan Favorite winners are not eligible to be Most Engaging winners. The Oi Favorite and Best Story winners will be determined by Oi editorial staff. The decision of the judges will be final. Winners will be notified via email or telephone and must be able to retrieve prize(s) from Oi offices within 30 days of notification and show your ID. Prizes left unclaimed after 30 days will be forfeit.
• Eligibility: The contest is open to those 18 years of age or older as of date of entry. Oi staff are exempted from participation. Photos must be taken by the entrant or must legally belong to the entrant.
• Release: By participating in this competition, each entrant grants Oi Vietnam the right to use his/her individual name and submitted photograph in any medium, for contest publicity & promotion purposes, without further compensation, except where prohibited by law. (By this, we mean winners / honorable mentions may be published in the magazine or photos posted to the contest page on Facebook… nothing else, we promise!)
• Who won: Winners will be announced in the next month’s edition of Oi Vietnam. Print copies are available at these locations. The online version is downloadable here.
